It’s amazing that gigantic companies like Epson and Fujitsu can’t get the software right. Epson makes below average scan manager software. The bundled Epson “Document Capture” software crashed on my once and when it was running properly on my Mac with OSX Yosemite it seemed slow and resource hungry. This scanner is noticeably louder than others in this price/speed category.
However, we are concerned about their approach to customer service, and we would like to see a far more bombproof approach to backup options. This is another reason why a functional physical button makes more sense than clicking around in the Epson software.
